Jeremiah Smith Posts 164 Yards, Touchdown

— Sep 13, 2026
In Philadelphia, DeVonta Smith stepped into a primary role with a 3-for-53 stat line in a win over Washington, aided by a standout 31-yard grab and a late onside play, while Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith is generating Heisman buzz after a monster 164-yard, one-touchdown effort against Texas, underscoring his reputation as a generational playmaker. Additionally, industry projections peg Smith as a potential top NFL draft pick, with mock drafts suggesting the Giants could target him as part of a talent-loaded receiving corps.

Eagles name DeVonta Smith top receiver but leave No. 2 spot open

— Sep 6, 2026
The Eagles expect DeVonta Smith to be the primary receiver with a developing rotation around him that includes young playmakers like Wicks and Lemon, while Makai Lemon’s rookie status and hamstring recovery add urgency for immediate contributions. Off the line and depth pieces, including Kendall and Lampkin, are proving more reliable—bolstering interior O-line upside—and the team faces typical 2026 scrutiny with a need for several receivers to step up alongside a high-performing rushing duo.

As long as Smith stays healthy the offense should be fine, but that No. 2 spot is a real question mark heading into the season.
