Rogers Communications completed its $4.35 billion Canadian purchase of Kilmer Sports’ remaining 25% stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, giving it full control of the Maple Leafs, Raptors, Toronto FC, Argonauts and Scotiabank Arena alongside its existing Blue Jays assets. Rogers plans to combine its sports and media holdings in a new Rogers Sports unit; Keith Pelley and Mark Shapiro will remain in their leadership roles, while Rogers has also discussed selling a minority stake in the combined assets.
