AI Coding Boom Raises Security Concerns
As AI coding tools become embedded in software development, organizations are producing code faster than conventional security reviews can assess it, creating vulnerabilities and security debt. Arcjet is expanding runtime controls to coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, giving security teams visibility into agent activity and ways to set consistent policies while developers retain tool choice. The goal is to manage risks including prompt injection, data leaks and unsafe connections to external services. Separately, Array Networks argues that AI adoption should advance alongside application and API protection, using load balancing, web application firewalls and behavioral analytics to support performance and security as workloads grow.
