CMS Seeks Comments on Agent-Broker Moratorium
Several agencies and boards have announced public comment opportunities on proposed rules, plans, and local matters. CMS is imposing a temporary pause on certain agents’ and brokers’ registrations for federally facilitated exchanges and is seeking comments on its authority to do so through November 21, 2026. Public hearings are also scheduled on October 27 in Oconto County, Wisconsin, for four zoning variance applications, and on October 16 in Massachusetts concerning Section 103 plans. In New Mexico, the public can comment on a proposed replacement of rule 8.9.6 NMAC at a November 6 hearing; Australia’s National Electricity Market regulatory reform consultation remains open through October 13, with feedback to inform proposed legislative changes for ministers’ consideration in December.
