About Robert Alan Aurthur
Robert Alan Aurthur was an American screenwriter, playwright, and film and television producer. Described as “one of the leading dramatists of the golden age of television,” he rose to prominence for his work on the anthology programs The Philco Television Playhouse and Goodyear Television Playhouse, earning an Emmy Award nomination for the former in 1956. He transitioned to feature films with the crime drama Edge of the City (1959), starring Sidney Poitier.
