Cody Greystone Rising in Debut Novel

Two-Spirit Rising follows Cody Greystone, a shy Indigenous seventeen-year-old whose sudden casting thrusts him into fame and public scrutiny, forcing him to confront what parts of his identity he can keep and how Indigenous and LGBTQ+ communities are depicted. Amid the pressure, he finds a quiet connection with a musician named Kevin and his first love, as Leander West centers Indigenous and LGBTQ+ resilience and challenges the industry's gaze.
